HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) — A major drug trafficking ring in Warner Robins has been dismantled after an 11-month investigation, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
On Thursday, March 13, law enforcement agencies, including the Warner Robins Police Department SWAT, GBI Special Enforcement Team, and the Macon Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), executed multiple search warrants across Warner Robins.
Authorities seized:
15 pounds of suspected fentanyl pills
12 pounds of suspected crystal methamphetamine
Two firearms
Cash
As a result, Latray McKenzie, 26, Justin High, 37, Takora Prater, 38, and Aretha Veal, 56, were arrested and charged with multiple felonies, including:
✅ Trafficking fentanyl
✅ Sale of fentanyl
✅ Conspiracy to commit a crime
✅ Use of communication facility in the commission of a felony
✅ Trafficking methamphetamine
✅ Sale of methamphetamine
✅ Possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute
✅ Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
✅ Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school
All four suspects remain in custody at the Houston County Jail.
Authorities say this multi-agency investigation aims to disrupt drug distribution and gang-related activities in Middle Georgia to enhance public safety.
