Krishnalanka police arrest Maharashtra-based gang

by Ananya Mehta

The Krishnalanka police on Thursday arrested four members of the Pardhi gang for allegedly stealing from passengers at the Pandit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS) in Vijayawada.

South Zone ACP D. Paavan Kumar said the accused—Bhavan Anand Bhosle, Manju Pawar Bhosle, Kavita Bhagwan Bhosle, and Prasanth Rajendra Bhosle—are natives of Maharashtra. The group reportedly arrived in Vijayawada on November 22 and began targeting unsuspecting passengers at the busy bus station.

Police said the gang followed their typical modus operandi of mingling with crowds, identifying distracted passengers, and swiftly stealing valuables before slipping away. All four were taken into custody, and further investigation is underway to determine whether they were involved in additional thefts in the region.
