The Crime Branch has arrested four more individuals in connection with the murder of a 17-year-old boy whose body was found in Basai on January 15. The victim was kidnapped near a church in Devilal Colony under Section-9 police station limits on January 12. The case initially led to the arrest of one suspect, Dev, 18, from Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, on the same day. Dev had a criminal history with three previous cases related to robbery, theft, and fighting.
The four additional arrested offenders include Mannu from Meerut, Priyanshu from Basai, Shammi from Vikas Nagar in Gurgaon, and Nitesh from Bulandshahar. All of them, aged between 18 and 20, allegedly held a grudge against the 17-year-old victim, who had also been involved in three cases related to fighting.
The victim’s father filed a complaint with the Sector-9 police on January 13, reporting his son’s kidnapping. Subsequently, a kidnapping case was registered. Investigations revealed the gruesome details leading to the discovery of the victim’s body three days later in an isolated area of Basai.
The investigation continues as police work to gather more information regarding the motive and circumstances surrounding the crime.
