Beaufort County, N.C. — Four men were arrested following a search at a home on Old Saw Mill Road near Blounts Creek, as part of a month-long investigation into the distribution of fentanyl and methamphetamine in Beaufort County.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office reports that during the search, authorities seized over 14 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana, $3,353 in cash, and multiple firearms. A stolen ATV was also recovered at the scene.
The following individuals were arrested and charged:
Dennis Clemons, 48, of Brooklyn, NY, was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and felony conspiracy. He is currently held on a $1,000,000 cash-only bond.
Alan Doyle, 46, of Blounts Creek, was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking in fentanyl, felony conspiracy, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep or sell controlled substances, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Doyle is held on a $1,000,000 secured bond.
Rodney Townsend, 53, of New Bern, was charged with felony possession of fentanyl. His bond is set at $250,000 secured.
Matthew Gibble, 42, also of New Bern, was charged with felony possession of fentanyl and held on a $250,000 secured bond.
Deputies continue to investigate the drug distribution operation, and additional arrests or charges may follow.
