City police investigating the Rs81 lakh robbery in Kundannoor have arrested four more members of the gang involved in the crime. The accused were tracked down and detained from locations outside Kerala.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Jaisal Francis (30), Abin Kuriakose (28), and Lenin Biju (27), all from Idukki, along with Joji Jossy (32) from Aluva. According to the police, Francis and Kuriakose were members of the masked trio that executed the robbery. Officers said they have already traced the third masked member as well. A substantial portion of the stolen Rs81 lakh has also been recovered.
Police further confirmed that a total of 11 accused, including one woman, have been arrested so far. Others detained include M S Saji (43) of Vaduthala, P V Vishnu (30) of Thrissur, Nikhil Narendranath (43) of SRM Road, Asif Iqbal (43) of Cheranalloor, Bushra (47) of Palluruthy, Nihas (26) of Thrissur, and Arjun (32) of Nattika.
Nihas and Arjun allegedly helped the main culprits flee after the robbery. The heist occurred around 3:30 pm on Wednesday at a company in Kundannoor, where the masked gang escaped with Rs81 lakh in cash.
