Four D.C. Men Arrested After Stolen Car Chase in New Market, MD

Pursuit ends in crashes, deputy hospitalized with minor injuries

NEW MARKET, Md. — Four men from Washington, D.C., including three 18-year-olds and a 21-year-old, were arrested after a stolen car chase in New Market, Maryland, resulted in multiple crashes and a Frederick County sheriff’s deputy being hospitalized.

The incident began early Sunday around 3:26 a.m. when a sheriff’s deputy tried to stop the men, who were suspected of tampering with vehicles near Jordan Boulevard. The suspects fled in two cars, initiating a pursuit.

One of the vehicles, a 2017 Subaru Outback, was confirmed stolen from Carroll County. The Subaru crashed after hitting a tree on Mussetter Road. The deputy pursuing this car was involved in the crash and sustained minor injuries.

The second vehicle, a 2012 Toyota Camry, lost control and collided with a parked patrol car with its emergency lights on. The deputy in that patrol car had exited before the collision.

Authorities from multiple agencies, including Maryland State Police, Montgomery County Police, and Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, participated in the search and arrest of the suspects identified as 18-year-olds Deangelo Dubose, Zaire Graves, Darin Comer, and 21-year-old Dayneil Bullock.

Theft ($1,500 to $25,000)

Motor Vehicle Theft

Obstructing and Hindering

Resisting Arrest

Multiple Traffic Citations

Malicious Destruction of Property (Dubose)

Second Degree Assault (Graves)

The suspects are in custody and face numerous charges related to the chase and theft.
