Nagpur Police have successfully arrested four suspects, including a juvenile, in connection with a robbery that took place on 11 January 2025. The incident occurred near Indira Colony, Jaripatka, where a 55-year-old shopkeeper was attacked and robbed of Rs. 1.5 lakh in cash and important documents.

The victim was on his way home after closing his shop when a man wearing a black jacket stopped him around 9:50 PM. When the shopkeeper refused to surrender his bag, the man attacked him. Three other assailants joined in, and one of them stabbed the shopkeeper before grabbing the bag and fleeing the scene.

The attackers split up and fled in different directions, using a knife to intimidate onlookers and prevent them from intervening.

After reviewing 150 CCTV clips, the police were able to identify a black Hero Splendor Plus motorcycle used by the robbers. On 18 January, the police arrested Vicky Narendra Dhuware (18), Sujal Anand Patil (22), and a juvenile from Shantinagar. During questioning, the suspects admitted to the robbery and named two other individuals, Rishabh Agrawal (25) and Yash Gondane (24), who had fled to Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. A police team tracked them down and brought them back to Nagpur.

The motorcycle used in the crime was seized by the police. The juvenile has been sent to a correctional home, while the remaining suspects are in police custody until 22 January.
