MURRAY, Ky. — According to the Murray Police Department, an off-duty officer observed a burglary in progress around 3:08 p.m. on April 16 in the Coldwater Road area. The suspects were seen leaving the scene in a vehicle, prompting officers to conduct a traffic stop. During the stop, multiple occupants of the vehicle fled on foot.
One suspect was seen in possession of a firearm, which he discarded in an apparent attempt to conceal it. The Murray Police Department, Murray State University Police Department, and Calloway County Sheriff’s Office quickly responded to the scene, leading to the arrest of four individuals.
The following suspects were arrested:
19-year-old Channon Catlett of Murray, charged with first-degree burglary.
18-year-old Marissa Asbridge of Madisonville, charged with first-degree burglary.
18-year-old Kered James Miles of Carbondale, IL, charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree fleeing or evading the police.
25-year-old Cameron Malone of Princeton, charged with first-degree burglary and additional charges by the Murray State University Police Department:
Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
Tampering with physical evidence
Resisting arrest
First-degree fleeing or evading the police
The investigation continues, and all four suspects remain in custody.
