Security forces conducted a major narcotics crackdown on July 24 in Kangpokpi district, Manipur, arresting four individuals involved in drug trafficking. The arrests took place in T. Khullen village under Kangpokpi Police Station jurisdiction during a targeted operation.
The accused have been identified as S. Poubinah Teinamei (31), PF Adaphro (34), and S. Boibina (29), all residents of T. Khullen, along with Lungdinibou Thiumei (52) from Khundong Khunkhaiba, Tamenglong district.
Authorities seized 273 soap cases containing approximately 3.5 kilograms of heroin. Alongside the narcotics, cash amounting to Rs 99,09,850 was recovered, along with seven mobile phones and two vehicles — a DI and a Hyundai Creta.
Police officials confirmed that investigations are ongoing to trace the source and intended destination of the seized heroin. This operation represents a significant disruption to the drug trafficking networks active in the region.
