Four Arrested in Lonavla Online Share Trading Scam

Victim duped of Rs98 lakh; Pimpri Chinchwad police intervene

Pimpri Chinchwad: Police raided a bungalow in Lonavla on Thursday night and arrested four youngsters allegedly running an online share trading fraud racket.

The accused were identified as:

Monilal Atulkumar Modi (24) – Mehsana, Gujarat

Ravi Gokul Prasad Jat (21) – Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh

Rudrapal Singh Chouhan (22) – Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh

Hansh Verma (19) – Borivli, Maharashtra

According to Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey, the suspects were operating second-layer bank accounts to siphon funds in the fraud.

A team led by Senior Inspector Ravikiran Nale and Assistant Inspector Pravin Swami conducted the arrest while investigating a case registered at Sangvi Police Station. In December last year, a victim was defrauded of Rs98 lakh through the online share trading scam.

Police are continuing their probe to identify any additional accounts or accomplices involved in the operation.
