Four Arrested in Jefferson County Meth, Weapons Bust

Nearly 600g of meth, guns seized in Warrior, Alabama raid

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A major drug and weapons bust in Jefferson County has led to the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of a large quantity of methamphetamine and firearms, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO).

Acting on multiple citizen complaints, Narcotics Detectives and the Sheriff’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team (SNET) executed a search warrant on Tuesday in the 9300 block of Miller Road in Warrior, Alabama.

Sheriff Mark Pettway acknowledged the role of the community, stating, “We are listening to the citizens of Jefferson County. Their complaints have not gone unheard. We are thankful for everything that they do for us.”

Arrested Individuals and Charges:
James Edward Hatley, 58

Charges: Possession of a controlled substance, possession of a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and firearm possession by a prohibited person

Bond: $1,531,000

Jacob Alan Collier, 31

Charges: Attempting to elude law enforcement and loitering for drug activity

Bond: Released on $12,000 bond

Kimberly Ann Drummond, 43

Charge: Misdemeanor failure to appear

Bond: Held without bond

Tiffany Shambrea Hagler, 37

Charges: Loitering for drug activity and possession of a controlled substance

Bond: Released on $12,000 bond

Items Seized:
597.7 grams of methamphetamine

Three handguns

Digital scales

Drug packaging materials

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may follow. Sheriff Pettway reiterated the department’s commitment to public safety, encouraging residents to continue reporting suspicious activity.
