Hattiesburg, MS – The Hattiesburg Police Department has arrested four suspects in connection to the death of Jacquez Morris, a 21-year-old from Laurel. Authorities responded to the scene on Sunday, December 15 at approximately 4:00 a.m. in the 1800 block of Country Club Road, where they found Morris unresponsive. Despite efforts to save him, Morris was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an investigation by the Hattiesburg Police Department, four individuals were arrested in relation to the crime:
Eric Fairley, 19, was charged with first-degree murder.
Marquise Tillman, 24, was charged with tampering with evidence and being an accessory after the fact.
Lachae Woullard, 21, and Durkenya Prater, 20, both face charges as accessories after the fact.
The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities noting that additional arrests and charges may be forthcoming. Further details will be shared as the investigation continues.
