Four Arrested in Calloway County Drug Investigation

Authorities seize methamphetamine and charge individuals with trafficking and evidence tampering

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. — Four people from Murray, Kentucky, were arrested on Tuesday in connection with a drug investigation led by the Marshall-Calloway County Drug Task Force. The arrests came after narcotics detectives executed search warrants at two separate homes in Murray, resulting in the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Robert A. Babb, 49, was charged with tampering with physical evidence, as he was seen attempting to flush methamphetamine down a toilet to destroy the evidence. In addition to this charge, Babb faces first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (meth) — second or greater offense and buy/possess drug paraphernalia.

Phillip D. Benson, 40, and Randall Hardee, 41, were arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (meth) — first offense, along with buy/possess drug paraphernalia.

A fourth individual, Tricia N. Wages, 34, was also taken into custody but her mugshot was not released. Wages faces charges including first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), buy/possess drug paraphernalia, and trafficking meth – conspiracy.

The four individuals are currently in custody at the Calloway County Detention Center or the Marshall County Detention Center.
