Police arrested four men on Saturday in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Mohammed Ayan Qureshi, who was fatally attacked outside the Juvenile Court in Red Hills last Thursday.
Qureshi was assaulted with knives and a cricket bat while returning from a court hearing. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after the attack, according to Nampally Police.
A police tip-off led to the swift arrest of the accused: Syed Mahmood Quadri alias Osama Quadri alias Muzaffer, Mohammed Aslam, Md. Siddiq Ahmed, and Syed Majid Quadri alias Mateen. The motive appears to be linked to a bitter family feud dating back several years.
Authorities continue to investigate the case.
