Family feud leads to fatal attack outside Juvenile Court

by Ananya Mehta

Police arrested four men on Saturday in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Mohammed Ayan Qureshi, who was fatally attacked outside the Juvenile Court in Red Hills on Thursday. The victim was returning from a court hearing when he was assaulted with knives and a cricket bat, according to Nampally police.

Following a tip-off, the accused — Syed Mahmood Quadri (also known as Osama Quadri and Muzaffer), Mohammed Aslam, Md. Siddiq Ahmed, and Syed Majid Quadri (alias Mateen) — were apprehended the same day. The attack reportedly stemmed from a long-standing family feud.

Investigations are ongoing.
