Former Roachdale Town Marshal Tywaun Burks Arrested on Felony Charges

Burks charged with official misconduct and theft in Putnam County

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. — Former Roachdale Town Marshal Tywaun Burks, 41, has been arrested following an investigation into his actions in October 2024. Burks now faces serious charges, including official misconduct and theft.

According to a press release from the Indiana State Police, Burks allegedly deprived the Roachdale Police Department of property and is accused of stealing items from the department’s evidence room. These actions led to the charges of official misconduct, a Level 6 felony, and theft, a Level 5 felony.

Burks has been taken into custody and transported to the Hendricks County Jail.
