CEDAR COUNTY, Mo. (WFRV) – Sarah Walborn, a former animal breeder, is now in custody following charges of animal abuse. Walborn, 36, from Stockton, was arrested over the weekend and is currently being held in the Cedar County Jail on a $5,000 cash-only bond. She is scheduled for her first court appearance on Tuesday.

Walborn faces 12 counts of animal abuse in connection with an incident that occurred in April 2025, when the Humane Society of Missouri rescued 42 dogs and 9 cats from her property in rural Stockton. The facility, previously known as “Wynter Knights,” was a licensed animal breeding operation.

Upon arriving at the property, investigators reported a strong odor of a dead animal and discovered several dead animals located at the back of the property. Authorities said many of the animals were housed in kennels that lacked proper flooring, and some dogs were malnourished. In addition, certain kennels were found to be without food or water, further contributing to the poor conditions.
