FLORENCE, S.C. (WPDE) — A Florence woman was arrested on Thursday after being charged with multiple drug possession offenses.
On Wednesday, narcotics investigators in Florence County, in collaboration with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, executed a search warrant in the area near East National Cemetery Road in Florence. During the search, authorities discovered a trafficking amount of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and a firearm.
Chastity Katrina Matthews, 38, was arrested at the scene and now faces several charges, including possession with intent to distribute cocaine base (methamphetamine), possession of fentanyl, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Matthews is currently being held at the Florence County Detention Center, awaiting a bond hearing.
