Florence Man Jeremy Deriso Arrested for Possessing and Distributing Child Sexual Abuse Material
BOONE COUNTY, Ky. — Authorities arrested 30-year-old Jeremy P. Deriso of Florence on Tuesday after an investigation revealed he allegedly possessed and shared child sexual abuse material on social media.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office began their probe on April 3 after receiving information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) about a social media account distributing illegal material. Detectives confirmed Deriso as the account holder by linking the IP address and email to the shared content.
Following a search warrant on the social media platform, officials verified that Deriso allegedly shared 18 videos of known child sexual abuse material 34 times.
Detectives executed a search of Deriso’s apartment on Tuesday, seizing multiple electronic devices, including the primary device used in the alleged distribution.
Deriso faces numerous charges, including:
Six counts of possession portraying a sexual performance by a minor (first offense)
12 counts of possession portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12 years old
Eight counts of distribution portraying a sexual performance by a minor
26 counts of distribution portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12 years old
Deriso’s bond has been set at $250,000, according to officials.
