Five Sentenced in Sandusky County Major Drug Bust

Authorities seized drugs, firearms, and cash in investigation

SANDUSKY COUNTY, Ohio — Five individuals have been sentenced following a major drug and firearms investigation in Sandusky County, officials said Thursday.

Jeremy Ferkel received a 17-year sentence, Thomas Washburn was sentenced to 12 years, Rebecca Standifer received four years and 11 months, Kyle Chase was sentenced to eight years, and Kaitlyn Burkett received five years.

The investigation led to the seizure of over five pounds of methamphetamine, cocaine, Phycobilin, prescription medications, steroids, fentanyl, marijuana, 10 firearms and ammunition, U.S. currency, and drug paraphernalia.

Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in the investigation, including the Ottawa County Major Crimes Unit, Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office, Clyde, Fremont, Louisville, and Bellevue Police Departments, the Kentucky State Police, Seneca County METRICH, the Ohio National Guard, the Ohio Narcotics Intelligence Center, and the Casa Grande, Arizona Police Department.
