A multi-agency narcotics investigation in Cherokee County has led to the arrest of five men on federal drug charges. Michael Wayne Johnson, Cory Jacob McCoy Jones, Jeffrey Len Pryor, Johnathon Mark Adcock, and Jonathan Lee Gentry were federally indicted for their involvement in alleged drug offenses, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).
The investigation, which began in October 2024, was a joint effort between the CCSO, Jacksonville Police Department, and the Department of Homeland Security. The men face charges related to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, a serious offense that carries a prison sentence ranging from five years to life.
