In a swift breakthrough, Petbasheerabad police have arrested five men involved in the murder of 38-year-old businessman Syed Siddiq, who was brutally stabbed to death in full public view at a crowded weekly market in Kompally on Sunday evening.
The arrested accused have been identified as:
Shaik Ahmad alias Noor (33)
Shaik Rehmath (24)
Kodimyala Shashi Kumar (23)
Vagmar Raj Kamal (24)
Varikuppala Jampanna (20)
According to hyberabad police, all the accused except Jampanna are residents of Macha Bollaram, while Jampanna is from Old Alwal.
The fatal stabbing of Siddiq in a public area shocked the local community, prompting an urgent manhunt. The motive behind the murder is still under investigation, but authorities suspect prior enmity or financial disputes may have played a role.
A case under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC has been registered, and further investigation is ongoing to uncover more details about the planning and motive behind the attack.
