The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Devbhumi Dwarka district arrested five Bangladeshi women for illegally entering India and traveling to the temple town of Dwarka.

On March 16, the SOG received intelligence about a group of five women, who were moving suspiciously near Shri Rukmini Mata Temple in Rupen Bandar. The women, whose faces were covered, were speaking an unfamiliar language, prompting the SOG team to investigate.

Upon detaining the women, the authorities found that they had no valid passports, visas, or any other legal documents. The women were identified as Ruby Ali (35), Sadiya alias Sheetal Soni (26), Sumi alias Riya Sheikh (35), Kalidas alias Nazmabebi Rana (33), and Ruby Bagdiya (35).

During questioning, the women admitted to paying Rs 25,000 each to Bangladeshi agents to cross the border illegally. They entered India via the river between Jessore in Bangladesh and the Indian border. The arrested women have been handed over to the authorities for further investigation.
