TERREBONNE PARISH, LA – Sheriff Tim Soignet has announced the arrest of five individuals tied to a series of business burglaries in the Dulac area, following an intensive investigation by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) Criminal Patrol Division.

The suspects — Christopher Lee Verdin Sr. (47), Chris Marie Verdin (42), Donovan Lee Billiot (38), Eugene Michael Lodrigue Jr. (45), and Carl E. Naquin Jr. (54) — face multiple felony charges, including simple burglary and theft.

Over the past two weeks, TPSO deputies began receiving anonymous tips regarding two separate burglary incidents. These tips led to the development of several suspects, as well as evidence connecting them to the crimes.

Arrests and Charges:

Christopher Lee Verdin Sr. was charged with two counts of Simple Burglary and Theft, in addition to multiple unrelated warrants. He remains in custody with bond set at $113,200.

Chris Marie Verdin was charged with Simple Burglary and later released on a $10,000 bond.

Donovan Lee Billiot faces a Simple Burglary charge and remains in jail on a $36,000 bond.

Eugene Michael Lodrigue Jr. was charged with Simple Burglary and also had outstanding warrants. His bond is $72,700.

Carl E. Naquin Jr. was charged as a Principal to Simple Burglary and remains in custody on a $50,000 bond.

Sheriff Soignet praised the TPSO team, stating, “These types of cases can be very detailed, and I am extremely proud of the men and women of our agency who continuously go above and beyond for the safety of our community.”

Authorities emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and more arrests may follow. The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office continues to urge anyone with information to come forward.
