Authorities in Searsport arrested five individuals in a major drug trafficking case.
Those taken into custody include David Hersom, 65, Melissa Dyer, 47, Holly Jo Ward, 42, along with Yandril Mateo-Nunez, 20, and Nelkis Alexander Villalona-Perez, 22.
Officials searched two homes in Searsport — one on Homestead Lane and another on Loop Road — recovering cocaine, methamphetamine, 30 firearms, and nearly $4,300 in suspected drug proceeds.
All five suspects were transported to Waldo County Jail and are awaiting further legal proceedings.
