Police in Nalanda district have arrested five individuals in connection with an armed robbery that took place on NH-20 near Dwarika Bigaha late Monday night. The suspects allegedly blocked and looted a pickup van at gunpoint before fleeing with the vehicle, cash, and goods.

Following their arrest, the accused—identified as Gulshan Kumar, Vicky Kumar, Saurav Chandra, Pawan Kumar, and Rohit Kumar—confessed to their involvement during interrogation. Their statements led investigators to recover the stolen pickup van, firearms, an SUV used in the crime, multiple cartons of paint, personal documents belonging to the victim, and cash.

All recovered items were formally seized, and the five accused have been taken into custody. Police say further investigation is underway to determine whether the group was involved in other highway crimes in the region.
