ZAPATA, Texas — Fernando Jose Bustamante was taken into custody following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Deaton Drive in Zapata County. Deputies from the Zapata County Sheriff’s Office confiscated more than four pounds of marijuana along with 54 THC vape cartridges during the search.
Authorities charged Bustamante with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. He was subsequently booked into the Zapata County Regional Jail. Officials continue to investigate the case.
