A 13-time convicted felon is back behind bars after Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies arrested him in connection with a months-long drug-dealing investigation.
Ryan Olson, 40, was taken into custody following a search of his home near North Regal Street and Lincoln Road. Detectives with the Spokane Valley Investigative Unit began looking into large-scale fentanyl and methamphetamine sales in late 2025 and eventually identified Olson as a primary suspect.
Investigators say Olson’s criminal history includes convictions for identity theft, burglary, theft, organized retail theft, trafficking stolen property, and various other offenses. He also had an active Washington State DOC Escape Community Custody warrant.
Detectives obtained a search warrant in late November and reported finding hundreds of blue pills suspected to contain fentanyl, along with methamphetamine, three firearms—including one stolen—cash, stolen credit and debit cards, a stolen bicycle, and a license plate.
Olson now faces additional charges, including:
Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (3 counts)
Possession of a Stolen Firearm
Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver
Endangerment with a Controlled Substance
Possession of Stolen Property (2nd and 3rd degree)
He is currently booked in the Spokane County Jail with a Washington DOC hold, and his bond has been set at $190,000. The sheriff’s office says the investigation remains ongoing.
