Fayette Woman Viola Chiarilli Arrested for Shoplifting in Seneca Falls

Accused of stealing merchandise, charged with petit larceny

SENECA FALLS, NY – A Fayette resident, Viola Chiarilli, was arrested following a shoplifting incident at a local business in Seneca Falls.

According to the Seneca Falls Police Department, Chiarilli stole merchandise from the store and left the property without paying. She was taken into custody and charged with petit larceny.

Following her arrest, Chiarilli was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.

Authorities remind the public that charges are accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
