Father-Son Duo Arrested for Running Canada Immigration Fraud Racket

Accused Duped Villagers with False Promises of Sending Them to Canada

by Ananya Mehta

The police’s Anti-Immigration Fraud Unit has arrested a father-son duo for allegedly running a fraudulent immigration racket, tricking villagers with false promises of sending them to Canada.

The accused, Rajesh Kumar alias Shammi and his son Jatin, both residents of Khedi Raipur Rani, are accused of collecting large sums of money from unsuspecting victims with the promise of helping them move abroad. Their operation involved sending people to Indonesia under the guise of securing a Canada work visa. After a brief stay in Indonesia, they would return the victims, claiming that visa delays were the reason for their return.

The victims were then left stranded in Kurukshetra and Shahbad in Haryana while the father-son duo continued to demand more money from them.
