In a major crackdown on organized theft, Fatehnagar Police in Udaipur have arrested two accused, Babulal and Prakash, responsible for multiple thefts across the district. The police also recovered 10 stolen motorcycles, 11 solar panels, and other stolen equipment from their possession.
The investigation began on October 15, 2025, after Pappu Lal Dangi of Kikawas filed a complaint regarding the theft of solar panels, a controller, and other electrical materials from his brother-in-law’s agricultural land in Ladana village, Mavli. A case was registered under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
Acting on technical intelligence, a special police team led by SHO Chandrashekhar Kilania traced and apprehended:
Babulal, son of Omkar, resident of Dangi Basti, Khempur, Fatehnagar
Prakash, son of Roop Lal, resident of Dangi Basti, Khempur, Fatehnagar
During interrogation, the accused confessed to multiple thefts including solar panels from Ladana and buffaloes from Bhansol, Gadhwada, Jawad, Palana, Gadoli Road, and Bhagwanpura, as well as motorcycle thefts from Gudli, Salera Kala, Nathdwara, Udaipur, Mavli, and Dabok.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of District SP Yogesh Goyal, Additional SP Anjana Sukhwal, and Circle Officer Ashima Vasvani. The team included Head Constable Jagan Prasad, Constables Jitendra, Ranjit Singh, Ashok Kumar, Chandraprakash, Sonu, and Cyber Cell officers Sub-Inspector Gajraj Singh and Constable Lokesh.
Police officials noted that the accused are habitual offenders and the investigation continues to track their associates and recover additional stolen property.
