Fatehabad police launched an intensive crackdown on drug trafficking from June 1 to June 15, registering 26 cases and arresting 51 individuals involved in smuggling narcotics. This major campaign, led by Superintendent of Police Siddhant Jain, aimed to dismantle illegal drug networks across the district.
During the operation, three cases were identified as commercial-level drug dealing. Police teams conducted raids across multiple locations, recovering large quantities of narcotics, including 203.605 grams of heroin, 1,053.168 kilograms of poppy husk, 2.898 kilograms of cannabis, 1,200 drug pills, and 140 banned injections—valued in lakhs of rupees on the black market.
In addition to traffickers, six proclaimed offenders and 15 bail jumpers evading the law were apprehended, highlighting the comprehensive nature of the crackdown.
A significant breakthrough occurred in Ratia, where police arrested Praveen Sharma, a youth from Vidyut Nagar, Hisar, residing in Anaj Mandi, Ratia, found with 30.16 grams of heroin. Authorities also seized the scooter used for drug deliveries.
Another arrest was made in Fatehabad when Ajay alias Aji from Gurunanakpura was caught with 10.034 grams of heroin.
The campaign reflects Fatehabad police’s firm commitment to curbing illegal drug trade and maintaining law and order in the district.
