A 48-year-old man from Faridabad, Anuj Dang, was arrested in connection with a major real estate fraud case where he allegedly cheated a Chandigarh-based family of over Rs1.32 crore. The accused, along with his accomplices, convinced Vikram Sharma and his mother Vijay Sharma, residents of Sector 16-D in Chandigarh, to invest large sums of money in a real estate project promising plots and flats.

Despite the Sharma family investing a total of Rs1,32,65,400, they received neither the promised properties nor any refund for their investment. The investigation revealed that the land in question had already been sold to a third party by the accused.

Anuj Dang, linked to Madhyam Land Trade India LLP in Sector 22-C, is believed to have orchestrated the fraudulent scheme, attracting investors with false promises. After a detailed investigation, Dang was arrested by the police in Faridabad. Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining accomplices involved in the scam.
