EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Evansville Police arrested three family members in connection with a burglary and drug-related offenses. Stacy Bunnell, 44, and her sons Carey Egan, 23, and Wyatt Gillenwater, 21, allegedly broke into a home on Henning Avenue and stole multiple items.

During questioning, Bunnell and Gillenwater admitted to entering the property, believing it was abandoned, while Egan denied involvement. Officers found stolen TVs, furniture, a purse, and credit and ID cards belonging to the victim and their relatives inside the suspects’ neighboring home.

A search of the residence also uncovered roughly 5 pounds of synthetic cannabis, THC products, and various pills and drug paraphernalia in Egan’s bedroom. Carey Egan now faces multiple drug dealing charges, including dealing cocaine, narcotics, and marijuana.

All three suspects were taken into custody at Vanderburgh County Jail. Charges include burglary for all three, with additional drug charges filed against Egan.

Police warn the community to remain vigilant as investigations continue.
