Excise Arrests Kannur Brothers Rabeeh and Rizwan for Synthetic Drugs

Brothers nabbed with 37g MDMA; three others caught in Kadavanthra

The Excise Department arrested two brothers from Kannur for allegedly trafficking synthetic drugs through a dating app. Muhammed Rabeeh C.M. (22) and Rizwan C.M. (30), residents of Mattool, Kannur, were apprehended Tuesday night at a lodge near Ernakulam Town railway station. Officials seized 37.274 grams of suspected MDMA from them.

The arrest was led by Excise Inspector Abhiraj R. of the Excise Range Office in Ernakulam.

In a separate operation, police arrested three youths near Vidyanagar Cross Road, Kadavanthra, seizing 28.40 grams of suspected MDMA. The arrested individuals were identified as Francis Kurisinkal (37) of Fort Kochi, Ajish K.V. (35) of Palluruthy, and Francis Xavier Fernandez (32) of Mundamveli.
