Ex-UK Player Ramel Bradley Arrested in Lexington

Faces Multiple Charges Including Resisting Arrest

Former UK Basketball Star Ramel Bradley Arrested in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Former University of Kentucky basketball player Ramel Bradley, 40, was arrested Sunday and is facing multiple charges following an incident in Lexington.

According to a citation by the Lexington Police Department, Bradley was found on a property where entry was clearly restricted by fencing or other enclosure. Officers say he refused to comply during the arrest, allegedly using physical force or creating a substantial risk of injury to law enforcement.

Bradley was reportedly in possession of a marijuana blunt at the time of his arrest and was also operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

He is facing the following charges:

Possession of marijuana

Operating a vehicle without a license

Resisting arrest

Second-degree criminal trespassing

Second-degree disorderly conduct

Bradley played guard for the Kentucky Wildcats from 2004 to 2008 and has remained a public figure in Kentucky since his college basketball days.
