Two Former Lauderhill Police Employees Arrested for Time Theft
LAUDERHILL, FL — Two former employees of the Lauderhill Police Department have been arrested after an internal investigation revealed they falsified time records and collected over $37,000 in unearned wages, authorities said.
The department identified the suspects as Demesha Moore, former Property and Evidence Manager, and Eunique Gibbons, former Property and Evidence Coordinator.
According to the investigation, Moore received $31,190.97 for hours she did not work, while Gibbons improperly obtained $5,978.35 between January and August 2024. Officials say the misconduct violated both city policy and departmental standards of conduct.
Moore was terminated on September 24, 2024, while Gibbons resigned on September 6, 2024, prior to the investigation concluding.
“The Lauderhill Police Department owes it to our community to maintain public trust,” the department said in a statement. “This behavior does not reflect the values of the hardworking men and women who serve our city every day.”
Gibbons was arrested on September 21, 2025,
Moore was arrested on September 23, 2025,
Both were booked into Broward County Main Jail.
The case has been forwarded to the Broward State Attorney’s Office, and no additional information is being released due to the ongoing legal process.
