The District Crime Branch police have arrested S. Surya Prakash, a former Karur District Revenue Officer (DRO) who was serving as a Special District Revenue Officer at Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), in connection with a fresh Rs9.5 crore real estate fraud.
Mr. Surya Prakash is currently in judicial custody at Tiruchi Central Prison after a recent arrest in a separate cheating case. The latest case highlights his alleged involvement in a large-scale real estate scam, according to police officials.
Investigations are ongoing as authorities examine documents and transactions related to the fraud. Police have indicated that this is part of a continuing probe into financial irregularities linked to Surya Prakash’s tenure in public service.
