MALTA, NY (WRGB) — Evyan D. Chaskey, 40, of Plattsburgh, has been charged with grand larceny and conspiracy following a theft incident on October 2 at Market 32 on Kendall Way.
According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Chaskey allegedly stole a credit card and cash from a pocketbook taken from a shopping cart in the store’s parking lot, with the help of an accomplice. She faces grand larceny in the 4th degree, petit larceny, and conspiracy charges.
Her alleged partner, Seth L. Church, 31, of Ausable Forks, is also facing an arrest warrant related to this case. Chaskey was taken into custody by New York State Police but was released on appearance tickets pending court proceedings.
The charges against Chaskey are not qualifying offenses for bail under New York law.
