EVANSVILLE, Ind. — The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office reports that 22-year-old Trinstan Wilson has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies after allegedly breaking into a West Side business twice.

Deputies executed a search warrant at Wilson’s home on Friday and took him into custody.

Wilson is accused of breaking into the West Side Smoke Shop on Pearl Drive on August 4 and August 21. Surveillance footage reportedly shows a suspect smashing the store’s glass doors and stealing various items, including vapes and vape cartridges, on both occasions.

Investigators also identified Wilson as a regular customer through the store’s rewards program.

During the search, deputies recovered stolen merchandise as well as clothing and shoes believed to have been worn during the break-ins.

Wilson was booked into Vanderburgh County Jail and charged with two counts of burglary, theft, and criminal mischief.
