Police in Etikoppaka village, Elamanchili mandal, Anakapalli District, have arrested two individuals in connection with a tragic firing incident that claimed the life of a student and left two others seriously injured.

Parawada DSP Mohan Rao confirmed that Kasimkota Suribabu and Appala Ramana were apprehended near Elamanchili. Two country-made guns, gunpowder, and other explosive materials were recovered from their possession.

The incident occurred when Adari Kaushik, a Class VI student, died after another student, Kasimkota Shashibhushan, accidentally fired a country-made gun while playing. The two country-made guns used in the incident were displayed during a press briefing at the Elamanchili circle office, attended by Circle Inspector S Dhanunjaya Rao and Sub Inspector M Upendra. Both accused have been produced before the court, and the investigation continues.
