Asheville, N.C. — Ethan Scott Kirby, 29, was arrested on Saturday, July 12, following an incident involving a firearm at a business on Patton Avenue in West Asheville, according to the Asheville Police Department (APD).
Officers responded to reports of a man seen carrying a gun and found Kirby with what appeared to be a handgun concealed under his shirt.
Upon arrest, police also found Kirby in possession of illegal drugs. He now faces multiple felony charges including possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon, and carrying a concealed weapon.
Kirby was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Center and is currently held under a $25,000 secured bond.
