A South Windsor man has been charged with strangulation and several other offenses following a domestic violence incident on New Year’s Day. Ethan Laguardia, 19, was taken into custody by local police on January 1, 2025.
According to authorities, Laguardia kicked, punched, spat on, and strangled the victim, causing only minor physical injuries. Police also reported that Laguardia threw the victim’s phone, damaging it.
The charges against Laguardia include third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation, disorderly conduct, and second-degree criminal mischief. He was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Thursday.
