In the early hours of Saturday night, authorities in Morgan County arrested two individuals following a traffic stop on I-65. Priceville Police stopped a vehicle near mile marker 334 for a minor traffic violation. Upon further investigation, officers found approximately 16 pounds of marijuana in the car, along with packaging materials that indicated the drugs were likely being prepared for illegal sale or distribution.
Essence Launa Ridley, 37, and Clarence Vincent Evans, 40, both from Toledo, Ohio, were taken into custody. Both face charges of trafficking in cannabis, as well as unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to deliver or sell. The arrests follow an in-depth field investigation by the Priceville Police Department.
The suspects remain under investigation as authorities continue to examine the scope of their alleged illegal activities.
