NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Two 18-year-olds, Esean Harris and Dareon Henry, remain in custody following a series of vehicle break-ins early Sunday morning on Church Street, Metro Nashville Police report.
Police say the suspects fled in a stolen Nissan Maxima, which had been reported stolen Friday from Nolensville Pike and used in recent car burglaries. After a pursuit, MNPD’s Aviation Unit tracked the vehicle back to Nolensville Pike, where Harris and Henry were apprehended.
During the investigation, officers recovered a loaded handgun, a window punch, an Autel key fob (used for vehicle reprogramming), and a stolen backpack taken from a Range Rover broken into on Church Street. Notably, the stolen Maxima had been reprogrammed despite the owner still having the keys.
Harris faces three counts of motor vehicle burglary, vandalism, and evading arrest, with bond set at $42,000. Henry is charged with three counts of motor vehicle burglary, two counts of theft, and evading arrest, with bond at $62,000.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities warn that additional charges may be filed.
