Erode Police Arrest Three for Robbing Imitation Jewellery, ATM Suspicion Case

Dhanush, Mahaprabhu, and Dhandapani Arrested in Robbery; ATM Incident Under Investigation

On Thursday, the Erode police arrested three individuals for robbing imitation jewellery from an elderly woman in Mukasipidariyur, Chennimalai, on November 24. The suspects were identified as Dhanush (21) and Mahaprabhu (21), both from Dindigul, and Dhandapani alias Ashok (27) of Chennimalai. The trio was apprehended during a vehicle check, and they later confessed to the crime. A case was registered, and the police also seized the two-wheeler they had used for the crime.

In a separate incident, a man was arrested by the Erode North police after he was found acting suspiciously inside an ATM center at Thindal Sengodampalayam. The man was discovered by a cab driver around 4 a.m., with a small cylinder in hand. The driver, assisted by others, detained the individual and alerted the police. No damage was caused to the ATM, and the man was taken into custody for further questioning.
