In a chilling incident from Erode, a 33-year-old man, Kavin Prasad of Vellode, was arrested on Saturday, June 28, 2025, for murdering his wife Amaravathi (28) and their one-and-a-half-year-old son, Aathiran.
Initially, Kavin Prasad informed the police that his wife had tragically taken the life of their child before ending her own in the early hours of Friday. Both bodies were sent to the Government Erode Medical College and Hospital in Perundurai for postmortem.
However, suspicions arose among the victims’ relatives, who refused to accept the bodies and demanded a thorough investigation. Upon further questioning, Kavin Prasad’s narrative unraveled, leading to his arrest on charges of murder.
