Ernesto Sanchez Arrested for Domestic Battery at Jellystone Campground

Fight over stolen marijuana leads to felony charge in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH — A dispute over stolen marijuana at Jellystone Campground west of Plymouth ended with a man’s arrest on Saturday, August 2.

At 9:17 p.m., Marshall County Deputies responded to a domestic incident at Jellystone Yogi Bear Campground located at 7719 Redwood Road. Authorities identified 40-year-old Ernesto Sanchez of South Bend as involved in a confrontation.

Sanchez allegedly confronted another camper over marijuana stolen from his vehicle, which escalated into a physical fight. The second individual was found with injuries consistent with a broken leg or dislocated knee.

Sanchez was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on charges of domestic battery causing moderate bodily injury, a level 6 felony. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond until shortly after midnight on Sunday.
