The Ernakulam Rural police swiftly arrested Rajibul Islam (26), a resident of Nagaon, Assam, for his involvement in an attempted ATM robbery.
Acting on leads, a special police team led by the Perumbavoor Assistant Superintendent of Police tracked down Islam at a plywood factory in Mudikkal near Perumbavoor and took him into custody within hours of the crime.
Police continue to investigate the case and gather further evidence.
