STERLING, Ill. (WTVO) – A 41-year-old man from Sterling, Eric Blackhawk, was arrested after an extensive investigation into narcotics sales in the area, according to Illinois State Police and the Blackhawk Area Task Force.

Authorities say complaints regarding drug sales in Sterling led to the investigation, which began in May 2024. The investigation involved agents from the BATF, along with officers from the Sterling Police Department and Dixon Police Department.

Blackhawk was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. After his arrest, he was released under pre-trial conditions.
